This project focuses on analyzing Amazon sales and inventory data. The goal of this project was to gain insights as to how the business was performing and create a dashboard to show KPI's and visuals.
Amazon Sellers Active Listing Report
The entire process can be seen here but below will show a brief outline of the steps performed during the analysis.
Listing Data
I first began with the listing data. Upon intial inspection, there was some cleaning that needed to be done. There were NA values in the 'Cost Per Item', 'Total Ship Cost', 'Ship Cost Per Item', and 'Sales Rank' columns.
The following steps were taken to remedy these issues:
The 'Cost Per Item', 'Total Ship Cost', and 'Ship Cost Per Item' were filled with the average values
Next was the exploration with of the data. The main dicoveries included:
The majority (60%) of books were listed in the 'Good' condition
Sales Data
There wasn't any cleaning that needed to be done for the Sales Data. This was expected due to the fact that these reports come directly from Amazon through their Seller Central.
I graphed the total sales, average sales price, amount of items sold, and the product cost over time. All of these had a downward trend. This was expected since we knew the amount of books lsited was also trending downwards.
It was then shown that the total sales have decreased roughly 30% per year since 2019, which was the highest grossing year.
